Pre - Registeration

Who are these workshops intended for?

These workshops are intended for anyone who wants to have a firm grip on the basics of quantitative finance. The typical participant will be a market practitioner currently employed in a bank of other financial institution. However, the course is also suitable for graduate students wishing to enter the financial markets. A mathematical background is important, even though it might have been years since your studies. And knowledge of the financial markets is useful, although professional finance experience is by no means a pre-requisite for the course

Do I need a prior knowledge about the topics?

There are some workshops where there is a prior requirement of having knowledge in the domain of derivatives, pricing mechanisms etc and some other courses which do not require such pre requisite knowledge base. Please refer to the course structure of each course to find out more about the pre requisites

What is the benefit I get out of these workshops?

These workshops are designed with the specific intention of instilling the knowledge of modern day practices in the financial markets. There is a need for people who understand the meaning of the various formulas and assumptions that are made in the financial markets. This can only be learnt through experience or through practice. This workshop forms the stepping stone that will pave the way for an individual aspiring to make his mark in the quantitative financial domain

What is the course structure for these workshops?

The course will entail lectures as well as real life problems which the participants will have to solve along with the trainers. There will be extensive use of excel spread sheets and the participants are expected to get a laptop of their own. Quantum Phinance will not be providing any laptops to participants

Where are the workshops being conducted?

The venue for each workshop will be intimated to the participants through mail two weeks before the date of conducting the workshop. It will also be updated on our website in the trainings page.

What about cancellation of workshops?

Cancellations of confirmed bookings are subject to a refund of 100% if notification is provided in writing more than 15 days before the program start date. Cancellations of confirmed bookings are subject to a refund of 50% if notification is provided in writing 7 days before the program start date. No refund is applicable if notification of cancellation is received within 2 days of the program start date or non-attendance. Quantum Phinance reserves the right to review and alter the cost of the workshops within reason.
In case a workshop could not be conducted due to any unforeseen circumstance, the participant will have the choice to take a full refund of his/her course fee or can choose to sit in the next session of the same workshop

How do I register for workshop?

You can register for the workshops from the apply page on this site. You will find a list of workshops that are due in line and can choose the one that you would like to register for. Please note that your registration will be confirmed only upon the payment of the course fee. Submitting your details online would not ensure a spot for you in the workshop. Once the payment is received, you will get a confirmatory call and email from our representative which would ensure that your registration is confirmed

What is the duration of the workshop?

The workshops typically last for one weekend (2 days in total) or two weekends (4 days in total). There will be lectures, simulations, problem solving sessions etc spanning for about 5-6 hours per day.

What is the application procedure?

The participant will first have to apply online upon which he/she will get a call from our representative. The participant will then have to make the payment for the course after which he/she will receive a final confirmation call and a payment receipt from Quantum Phinance representative. This ensures the completion of the registration process

Do I get a course material?

The participants will get the presentations and other slide shows that will be used by the faculty in their workshops. The participants will also get the excel sheet templates and problem solutions that will be discussed in the workshop. If a workshop needs any material to be printed and given, Quantum Phinance will provide the participants with the course material in such a case

What are the things required to be brought for the workshop?

The participants will have to bring a laptop and laptop chargers along with them as there will be extensive use of excel spreadsheets in the workshops. Quantum Phinance will provide the candidates with the lunch and refreshments from time to time
